Greatness Day 71–Stand Tall in the Storm

Inspirational Quote:
“The oak fought the wind and was broken, the willow bent when it must and survived.” – Robert Jordan
In 2010, Chile faced one of the worst mining disasters in modern history. Thirty-three miners were trapped 2,300 feet underground after a massive cave-in. The world expected the worst, but these men refused to give in.
For 69 days, they rationed food, supported one another, and maintained faith—all in total darkness. When rescuers finally reached them, all 33 emerged alive. This became known as “The Miracle of Copiapó.”
Their survival wasn’t luck—it was resilience. Under immense pressure, they chose to bend, not break.
Life’s storms are no different. Some people collapse, others endure. The difference is in how you respond.
- Nelson Mandela bent to 27 years in prison without breaking his purpose.
- Malala Yousafzai bent to an assassin’s bullet, but refused to bow in silence.
The storm doesn’t destroy you—it reveals your strength. Like the willow, greatness flexes without snapping.
🌱 Greatness Takeaways
